Dr. Arielle Pechette Markley is a board-certified specialist in Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (DACVSMR) and serves as the Chief Veterinary Medical Officer at Fetch Rehab. With over 15 years of experience spanning emergency medicine, general practice, specialty referral practice, and academia, Dr. Pechette Markley brings a comprehensive, evidence-based perspective to clinical care, teaching, and research.

As a clinician and researcher, Dr. Pechette Markley’s work centers on canine biomechanics, injury prevention, performance optimization, and pain management in working, sporting, and companion dogs. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and textbook chapters and has received multiple research grants to study topics such as workload monitoring, sport-specific biomechanics, wearable sensor technology, osteoarthritis, and lumbosacral disease.

Dr. Pechette Markley is also co-founder of the Canine Sports Science Consortium, an international collaborative research network dedicated to advancing the science of canine performance and rehabilitation. She is passionate about bridging clinical practice and scientific research, ensuring that the latest evidence directly informs patient care, rehabilitation protocols, and injury prevention strategies.

When she’s not teaching or conducting research, Dr. Pechette Markley enjoys competing in agility with her Border Collie, Jax, trail running, yoga, and rock climbing.
